I won't be blogging about our honeymoon as I have already done so over at Back Home Again. Feel free to check it out!
Also, after this post, feel free to ask Sean and I anything! Random questions, love story clarifications, marriage questions, anything! Leave your question in the comments and we will go through everything next Monday!
The Reception
No bridezilla here. We didn't want to impress anyone. We didn't want to be prim and proper and fancy. We didn't particularly care if we were breaking tradition. We just wanted people to enjoy themselves. I don't remember much of the reception at all, but judging by the pics, I think I can say we accomplished our mission.
Also, I know Baptists aren't supposed to dance, so if you're easily offended by such things, you should browse away now as most people you will see are from one church or another and may or may not include a dancing pastor. Don't tell on us!
First dance: You & Me by Dave Matthews Band |
Some sitting. Some eating. Some socializing. |
Kick off the dancing! Parent-child dance was "Sweet Child O' Mine" by Guns N' Roses as I''m not the sappy daddy's girl type. Told you we don't care about tradition. |
There's all those heathenish Baptists dancing... |
Yeah, so I'm ticklish... |
Y'all already knew we're weirdos... |
Peace out! The end. |
Hope you guys enjoyed these! Remember to leave your questions in the comments!

I spot myself in one of those pictures haha. It was a fun reception! I especially enjoyed catching the bouquet even if Tara says I pushed lol
ReplyDeleteI have no idea if you pushed or not, but it looks like you have two more bouquets to catch next year if you're back in the states!
Deletehey there Bekah :) I do not agree with not dancing at weddings! No way! Did not David also dance in front of God? did he not make God happy in that way?! These are just rules people put in order to break the connection one has with God. I think HE was happy to see you 2 so much happy and so much in love. God is all about love :)
ReplyDeletehmm so my questions would be if you could change anything about your big day what would it be lol
ReplyDeleteLove all the dancing pictures! =) You both look so so happy!
ReplyDeletehaha adorable I love your ticklish face...so funny.

ReplyDeleteNo dancing at a wedding?! I would go crazy! Your reception looks like a blast.
ReplyDeleteThat looks awesome! I love that you played Sweet Child Of Mine for your parent/child dance. :)

Looks like a pretty wedding!
ReplyDeleteI'm a dancing Christian! :) But the church where we held our wedding didn't allow any dancing. That was fine with me because I wanted a short reception anyway. We got married at 2 p.m. and we were on our way home by 6, I think.
ReplyDeleteOh, on the note of questions, is Bekah your full name or a nickname? Just wondering...one of my sisters is Rebekah and I know it's a rather unusual spelling these days. And another one of my sisters goes by Lizzy to everybody even though it's not her full name--a lot of people don't know that it's not.
DeleteWe do we all love pictures of weddings? Congrats on three years. That's an accomplishment. I'm Bon's sister by the way. tortoisegirls.com
